THE BLUE RIDGE ODYSSEY TRIP - JUNE 2008
Nine Corvettes arrived in Alcoa, TN for our
first stop on the way. Up and on our way early next morning to
conquer The Tail Of The Dragon, and that we did - in the rain too!!!
What a ride, 11 miles of road with 318 curves packed in for some
great testing of our cars and our drivers skills. The
remainder of our trip was some wonderful sightseeing of what this
Great USA has to offer. We traversed the Blue Ridge
Parkway with ohhs and ahhhs all along the route. We visited
Magee Valley, Asheville, and Cherokee, North Carolina as well as
Gatlinburg, TN. Several of the group visited The Biltmore
Estate while we were in Asheville to see how great life was in 1895
(if you had the money).
Many thanks to Mike Cope for coming up with
yet another great trip. Those who didn't join us this trip, you get
another chance in the fall when Mike will come up with something
just as wonderful.
Check out some of the great photos from our
trip. |
